Maternity Mum was established by Cheryl Foster to create a professional and personal maternity nurse service providing specialist postnatal care for new parents, living in the UK and overseas.

Over my 20 years career as a midwife and a maternity nurse, I have had the privilege of caring for hundreds of mums and their newborn babies. I love nurturing relationships between parents, families and their babies.

As a mum myself I am aware of the importance for mums to rest and recuperate following childbirth and in the early postnatal period and the many benefits of having an experienced, knowledgeable maternity nurse to offer guidance and support.

"Happy Mum Equals Happy BABY"

One of the most important values which I adhere to, is that each client is unique and no situation is the same. Parents have different styles of parenting and different routines and schedules they set, which is why I am able to adapt to all of this. There are also health issues that need to be taken into consideration, such as postnatal depression. It is key that I provide the best possible service to every single one of my clients and their baby's.

Client satisfaction is something that is massively important, and the endless positive testimonials both on the website and Facebook page are proof that the service that I offer is an excellent one. Along with excellent written and verbal references and recommendations from previous clients.

A night nanny, also referred to as a night maternity nurse will arrive at your home from 10 pm, or earlier if you request until 6 or 7 am. The night nanny will share a bedroom with your baby and carry out all the night feeds and baby cares. If mum is breastfeeding, the night nanny can bring the baby to mum to feed. She will be there to support mum whilst she is breastfeeding, ensuring that mum is well hydrated. Then whilst mum rests, the night nanny will continue with the baby cares, winding, nappy changes and settling the baby back to sleep. The night nanny service is perfect to allow exhausted parents to catch up on some much needed sleep.
